Lost/Found a Pet

If you have lost or found a pet, the most important thing you can do is to bring your information to the Humane Society so we can properly assist you with the next steps. This will allow us to alert the proper parties and ensure the animals involved have a happy reunion with their families.
Check out some of the pets brought to our shelter that have not been claimed by visiting our Lost Pets listings.
You can also take advantage of the following options in the case your pet is lost:
Call or visit your local Humane Society right away and leave a lost report with the shelter.
The Southeast Volusia Humane Society receives calls about found pets everyday. We may have information about your lost pet, so call or come in person.
Notify the public as soon as possible.
If your pet cannot be found at a shelter, take the initiative and post notices, handout flyers, and place ads in local newspapers.
Call your pet’s veterinarian and let them know your animal is lost.
Many times, individuals that find an injured dog or cat will take it to a veterinarian.
