My name is Guiness, but my friends call me Guinnie, and I am a neutered male Labrador Retriever and Chow Chow mix dog. I’ve been at the shelter since January 26, 2010 because my owner can no longer take care of me (see comments). I am a smart boy and already know my basic commands like sit, shake, and lay down. I walk well on a leash, like to be brushed a lot, and need a quiet home with no children or cats. After being used to a quiet home, the noisy hustle and bustle of the shelter is a little stressful for me. I am an excellent watchdog and very protective of my home environment. I have such a beautiful spirit and hope to find a forever home as soon as possible.

I was brought to the Shelter because I was “very active/hyper and his family couldn’t give him the attention he needed.” I know how to walk on a leash, sit, and lay down on command. I am an inside only dog and need someone who has the time to spend with me. I am a loving guy and have some beautiful markings right down to my feet. My name is Sebastian and I am a male Chihuahua Mix Dog. I’ve been at the shelter since December 15, 2009 because my owner had to move into a nursing home. I am great with cats but would prefer a quiet home without children. I like to walk on a leash, play with toys, be picked up, and sleep with you. I’m a little shy at first but can be a sweet, easy going little guy once you get to know me.

My name is CJ and I am a male, Cocker Spaniel mix dog. I’ve been at the shelter since December 10, 2009 because my family had to move away and couldn’t take me with them. I am a handsome little boy with such a beautiful coat. Little children scare me and I might bite them out of fear so I need a home without children under the age of 10. I am leash-trained and can sit on command, I listen to commands well because I want to please you. I am an indoor-only boy and can be a little shy at first but ultimately easy-going boy who wants to find a forever home and be your companion.

My name is Harrah and I am a female Staffordshire Pit Bull Terrier. I came to the shelter because I got lost and no one came to find me. I am a pretty little girl with beautiful markings. I know how to walk on a leash and like to play with toys. The forever home I go to needs to take the time to teach me the things that all good dogs needs to learn such as basic commands, crate training, and house training. I am really alert and ready to learn. It would be best not to put me with small children under the age of eight because I play hard and might be too rough for smaller children. I really want to please you and be your companion.
