Marlene and Lester came by the shelter on July 31st and decided to go home with Vinny, the newest addition to their family.

Lady, soon to be renamed, Lady Bug, was adopted by Michael, Carla and their son Ryan.

Leon gets adopted by Jonna and Holly.

Rosco found a forever home with Eric, Deniellei, and their daughter, Maddison. He also gains a fur-sister named Roxi.

Flower forever home today with Steve and Carol. She even has a big brother named Ben (a chocolate lab)

I would like to take this time to thank you, for the wonderful organization that you operate. On October 26, 1996, my wife and I adopted a Golden Retriever Mix, from your organization, which turned out to be a blessing.

Bo really had some big shoes to fill after losing our long time companion. When we saw him, we couldn’t resist him. Now he has the best home that he could ever think possible.

Three weeks ago we decided to find Sugar a friend. We found a German Shepard Mix by the name of Cookie and fell in love with her too!

Joshua, Robin and their son, Jude, are extremely happy to bring the newest member of their family home…Cloud the cat.

Ellie Mae was adopted on May 28th. She joins her doggie brother Casey who is a ten year old Jack Russell.

Steve and his mother Madge saw this little cutie and fell in love immediately. Soon the little gray kitty was on its way to its forever home.

It was love at first sight when Gloria and Jerry saw little Geronimo.

Zoei goes home with her new family!

Candi is a female Doxie mix who is four months old and weighs a whopping 8lbs! Candi is especially lucky because her new owner is nine year old Zane. She is also going to join a new bird friend named Halo.

The two sisters were known as Teeny and Teencie but will have new names in their new forever home. They will now be known as Abbie and Callie. The two little girls are sure to bring lots of joy and laughter to Glenn and Sherry’s home.

Melville was adopted today by his new friend, Steve. He will join another kitty, a Yorkshire Terrier, and a German Shepherd mix. What a wonderful family for Melville!

We didn’t even get this little girl photographed for the website before she was adopted today into a very loving home. Lindy-Mae will make a great companion for her new mommy, Mary Lou.

Mr. Bill stole my heart. He has joined our family and settled right in. He has learned the word “treat” very quickly and the other boys need to get out of his way as he makes his way to his pedestal.

Titan is the best dog I have ever had. I don’t think he realizes he is a big dog. He sits in our lap in the evening and, on a couple of occasions, took his position on the top of Jeff’s chair with Jeff in it.

Rex is a beautiful, gentle soul and very well-mannered. His new “Dad” is Bruce and Rex has already stolen his heart.

Party Pom was adopted before we even got to photograph him for the website. This little tri-colored Pomeranian is approximately 8-9 months old and is quite a sweetie!

Kirby (black) was adopted by Ron and Sammie H. He joins two others in his new home– Buba and Sugar. This family is a real blessing for Kirby.

An adoption was made by Joe and Audra. They fell in love with Dillon and plan to keep that name. He joins two other Poms in his new home.

Mayquitha (Tita) and her sister Chloe adopted two black puppies that hadn’t been named by the Shelter. They will get to know the puppies and give them appropriate names.

Nova was adopted by Anoop who has decided that Hannah will be her new name and looks forward to giving Hannah a home where she can grow and thrive and overcome her fears.

Herman is my wrestling partner and my support system. He is just so darn adorable and we are thrilled to have him around. We didn’t pick him, he was definitely sent to us.

Happy has found a loving home with her new owner, Dorothy, and her kitty family. We wish them all the best for a wonderful life!

Ozzie, helped my family out. Our 5 year old daughter was feeling sad and alone because her dad is leaving for the army. Ozzie has been a blessing to her and our family. The “kids” play great together!

Stitch has found a new home today with Donna and her dog, Chimmy. You can already tell Chimmy and Stitch will be best buds for life!

The boys and I have been so happy with Emmie. She has the sweetest soul! In these few days, I feel that she has been a companion in our family forever!

Lucky Girl Mandy was adopted by a great family during Port Orange Days. She found a new home with Teresa, Tiffani, Wesley, and new brother Rusty.

Thanks to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society, we were able to find Wolfie, a black and silver Siberian Husky who has been a wonderful addition to our family.

Taffy spent over a year at the shelter, unfortunately because of the way she looked. No one would adopt her. Now understand, taffy was not adopted, she picked us. I sat down and she washed my face and she has had a happy home every since.

Monkey loves his food, ice cubes, riding in the car especially and totally hogs my bed and I am in heaven. Yes, I miss Savannah like crazy but here is another LPFC to love and share life with. They are so good at stealing and melting your grieving heart.

Hi my name is Scruffy (formally known as Spot). My big sister Jenniferlee took one look at me at the Southeast Volusia Humane Society and knew I was going home with her. My mom says I’m heaven sent. I love my new family.

Kasey (formerly known as Hoppy) was instantly adored by new owners, Shelley, Drew, Jakob, and Sam. I bet Kasey will have so much fun with new big brothers!

Tiki and Megan instantly knew they would love each other when they met at the Southeast Volusia Humane Society on August 3, 2009. Tiki will be very happy with new mommy, Megan.

I want to thank you all for taking care of me and helping me find my new Mom. She and all the veterinarians and associates at the Animal Clinic of Edgewater took care of my heart worms and my ear problems and I am a very happy, go lucky doggie now!

As of April 20, 2009, cute little Andy has a new family with Peter and Allison. He joins his new brother, Bear and Andy’s new name is Ziggy!

Buddy found us at the Daytona Beach Humane Society in 1995. A young woman came upon a beautiful black and tan British Cocker Spaniel wandering about, and took him home.

We adopted Dexter (formerly Magic) and he is adjusting to his new life wonderfully.

There’s no question in my mind we live among angels. They silently, often invisibly work their missions of kindness and mercy. It’s easy to forget these good souls live among us, until we need one.

Scooter is doing fine and has made himself right at home.

TeeJay enjoys the screened in porch, cuddling with me, and playing with his cousin Shimsa.

An old friend visited the shelter this Halloween to do some tricks and get some treats.
