Since 1958, the Southeast Volusia Humane Society has found homes for animals who need people. We invite you to become part of that tradition. We are dedicated to matching homeless, adoptable animals with loving, caring families, like yours.

Before you begin your search for your new best friend, we invite you think it through. Adopting a pet is a big decision. You’re about to make a long-term commitment, so you want to be sure it’s right for you. Ask yourself, Am I ready for a pet? Is this the right time? Do I have enough time to devote to my new companion? Will I be able to care for a dog or cat with the resources I have?

We also encourage you to do your research and find the pet that’s right for you and your lifestyle and home situation. Once you’ve given some serious thought about what it takes to be a responsible pet owner, take a look at our pet photos and visit our adoption center to find your new best friend.
