Under bright blue skies and mild temperatures many people welcomed in the first day of spring on Saturday, March 20th 2010, at the Second Annual Spring Fling sponsored by the Halifax Veterinary Center in Port Orange, Fl.  “Luv the Dog” greeted people as they arrived for the event.  Games were enjoyed by our two legged, as well as our four legged friends.  Pet portraits were taken by Tom Meyers.

Over 80 area businesses contributed products and services for our raffle table.  As people dined on the delicious food provided by Gene’s Steakhouse, they were entertained by fabulous dance routines performed by K.E.D.A.  A special treat was the obedience demo performed by former adoptees under the direction of Janet Tomlinson.  Some owners who adopted from SEVHS in the past stopped by for a reunion!

As the day was coming to an end, Zoei, our German Shepherd Husky Mix, found her “forever home”.  The perfect ending to a perfect day!
