Holiday Foster Program a Success
Posted on: Dec 28th, 2009 | Category: Recent NewsThe “Foster a Lonely Pet for the Holidays” program was a tremendous success.
Sincere thanks go to all of the wonderful people who made this possible.
We had many applications and immediately adopted over 50% of the dogs and cats who were fostered or visited on Monday (12-21-09) and Tuesday (12-22-09). At the end of the day on Tuesday, our kennels were almost empty; however, our hearts were full of thanks and our smiles could not be brighter. This has truly been a very special holiday gift for the animals as well as the foster and adoptive parents.
Through the Foster Program, we have gained knowledge and acquired details of the animals in a home environment. Our database of approved parents is growing and plans to increase fostering in the future are in place.
Thanks to all for your continued support. Special thanks go out to Board Members Vicki Fisher and Debbie Jackson; Lori Lee, Volunteer Coordinator; and of course all the other special employees and volunteers at SEVHS. Photography was done by our Volunteer Petographer, Gladys Starkey.
We all look forward to a successful new year.
Thank you,
Bob Belt
SEVHS Foster Committee Chairman

It was love at first sight for Linda and Mark as they only needed to be sure that Greta and their other fur children Emma Jean and Lady got along. Lady welcomed Greta and that's all it took. Greta was officially adopted and went home to her new forever home for Christmas.
