Girl Scouts Give their Hearts to the Animals
Posted on: Mar 30th, 2009 | Category: Recent Supporters
Girl Scouts Troop 183 visited the shelter on Monday, March 30, 2009. The girls collected donations for the shelter. Susie, the shelter manager, did a little class with them and spoke about the shelter. They took a tour of the shelter cats and dogs that were available for adoption. After the tour, they sat around the gazebo where they were served cookies and lemonade. The shelter gave them coloring books, crayons, and other little items. After their coloring, they made cat toys to hand out when a shelter cat is adopted. The toys were little pouches with filling in them and some cat nip. They tied the pouches closed and placed a bell on the end.
