Also, thank you to My Bliss Magazine for the full page devoted to Sophie’s Circle in the August issue. If anyone didn’t get one and would like one, I will bring some to the September Yappy Hour.

The August Yappy Hour was a huge success! The dogs were such a hit and so incredibly well behaved that we want them at all of our future Yappy Hours. After all, this is all about THEM! Not only were they well behaved, but they were so cute and fun. I especially loved that the local area animal shelters brought a couple of homeless dogs along with them in hopes that someone would open their heart and home to them. They looked spiffy in their bandana’s and were on their best behavior. I know we all wish we had more room in our homes. They had a fun night out and the exposure is great. In time, as more people become aware of us, I know their chances of finding homes will increase.

We have scheduled our September Yappy Hour. September 17, 2008 at Pub 44 in Daytona Beach (not to be confused with the one in NSB). It is on Main Street, on the east side of the bridge, right on the river. And yes, DOGS ARE WELCOME!. (Unless it rains.) If it is pouring rain, please leave the pooches home because we can’t take them inside. I am thinking that only a pouring, driving, hurricane type rain will keep me from bringing Sophie. She looks forward all month to seeing all her friends. Yappy Hour is from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. We ask our usual $5.00 donation and any towels, food, toys, etc. for the shelters. You know the drill! Please bring business cards and use this as a networking opportunity. There are so many wonderful business people who are attending and everyone is a valuable contact.

Save the date!! November 29, 2008 is Sophie’s Magical Fur Ball. This is going to be our biggest fund raiser of the year and we are hoping to make it an annual event. We have reserved the Ponce Inlet Community Center on Peninsula and have already secured catering by Carefree Catering and bartending service by J&T Bartending. We will have live music and a DJ and a silent auction and lots more fun things planned. We NEED your support. Actually, the animals need your support. They are counting on us. We are forming committee’s and would love some volunteers and help of any kind. More details will be provided at the Yappy Hour.

As always, call or email with any questions or concerns. And, thank you for your help and support. It means the world to us.

Love and thanks from,
Kathy, Vicki and Sophie
